The
G650 Media Gateway is a high capacity
14-slot carrier designed to house a
wide range of Avaya circuit packs, and
features dual redundant, load-sharing
power supplies with AC/DC inputs that
enhance system reliability.
The G650 supports both TDM and IP-based
telephony environments, providing a
resilient and scalable carrier platform
that allows enterprises to combine the
full benefits of IP with the mission
critical availability of traditional
telephony
Dual redundant, load-sharing
power supplies with AC/DC
Support for Avaya Direct Connect,
Multi-Connect, and IP Connect configurations
New TN2312BP IP Server Interface,
which integrates Emergency Transfer,
environmental maintenance, and duplicated
call control features into the gateway
Support for up to 5 G650s in
a single port network
The G650 can be controlled
by either the S8500 or S8700 media server
The G650 requires the IPSI
TN2312BP to operate for environmental
maintenance purposes
The G650 media gateway requires
Avaya Communication Manager release
2.0 or higher. The IP Server Interface
TN2312BP offers backward compatibility
with limited functionality
The Customer Infrastructure
Readiness Survey and/or Network Assessment/Network
Offer is always recommended when positioning
converged solutions. This helps to assure
that the existing LAN/WAN infrastructure
is capable of handling VoIP
The G650 and IP Server Interface
should reside in a locked/secure room
or at the very least in a locked/secure
data rack
AC: The G650 power supply is
capable of operating and meeting all
requirements with an input of 90 to
264 VAC rms, 47 to 63 Hz single phase
input power source. Excluding inrush
current, when delivering the rated output
voltages and currents, the AC input
current required by the power supply
does not exceed 9.0 Amps when supplied
with input power at 90 VAC or 4.5 Amps
when supplied with input power at 190
VAC DC: The G650 power supply can
accommodate an input voltage range of
minus 40 to minus 60 VDC. The maximum
DC input current shall not exceed 21.0
Amps. The maximum power consumption
on the DC powered, dual Power Supply,
G650 gateway is approximately 900Watts
The G650 is designed to support telephony
network environments requiring concurrent
support of TDM and IP
Facilitates integration into many existing
networks, and provides a base for future
migration to IP-based solutions
The G650 offers optional redundant AC/DC
power supplies and duplicated control
paths via redundant IPSI (TN2312BP)
boards
Provides enhanced system and network
availability options for enterprises with
mission critical operations
The G650 will operate in the following
configurations: Center Stage. ATM Center
Stage, Direct Connect, and IP Connect.
Facilitates integration into many existing
network configurations, and provides
a base for migration to IP
